Ms. Noor Ul Ain serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at the Barani Institute of Sciences, Burewala, affiliated with PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. She is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students, contributing to academic excellence through her dedication and subject expertise. With a strong background in microbiology, Ms. Noor Ul Ain focuses on subjects such as Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Immunology. Her efforts help create an engaging and practical learning environment, aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of biological sciences and their real-world applications.
Noor Ul Ain is a passionate microbiologist and teacher. She is currently working as a Visiting Lecturer at the Barani Institute of Sciences, Burewala, which is affiliated with Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. She has completed both her MPhil and bachelor’s degrees in microbiology from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. During her MPhil, she conducted research on biofilm-forming genes of Staphylococcus aureus and how they are linked to antibiotic resistance. Her research helped improve the understanding of how bacteria become resistant to antibiotics.
She has also gained practical experience through two internships. The first was at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, in the Public Health Laboratory Division, where she worked on disease diagnosis and public health-related tests. The second was at DHQ Hospital, Vehari, under the Chief Minister’s Internship Program, where she worked in the DOTS Lab as a Microbiologist, focusing on tuberculosis testing and lab procedures. She teaches Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Biology and always tries to make her lessons practical and easy to understand.
